I can’t remember how many times I have passed Hue’s Kitchen over the last few years. It is one of the restaurants you simply walk by, think – oh, how cute, but never go in.
Well, I finally decided to venture in. Especially because I was in a search of a good Pho.
First off, it’s a really comfortable, modern and cute restaurant. Their patio is also super cute and filled with plants. The menu is simple, the prices are cheap, the portions are big, the staff is friendly and the food is great!
I ordered their large pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), which is only a dollar more from the small portion. Perfect for a cold day and enough to take home. The broth was filled with ginger, lemongrass, garlic and perfectly tender noodles and grilled chicken. I must say, the soup was pretty good and I would order it again. I just wish it had more vegetables.
I’m not sure about their other dishes but if you are a big fan of pho and in the Yonge-Bloor area, I definitely recommend Hue’s Kitchen.
