My Top 10 Horror Movies

I’m a big fan of horror movies. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll watch any kind but if I had to pick only one genre to watch for the rest of my life, it would be horror.

Here’s my Top 10:

    Good story, great atmosphere, some fantastic scenes that make you shudder!

    2: The Haunting (original version, not the terrible remake)
    Truely great spooky eerie tale that leaves you asking “was the house really haunted, or was it all in the mind of the protaganist”

    3: The Thing
    Stunning FX for it’s time, you can feel the cold!

    4: The Skeptic
    Another great example of a movie that makes you question if there really are ghosts, or is it all in the mind.

    5: The Orphanage
    Atmospheric with a nice twist, turns out Darth Vader is lukes father! (sorry, wasn’t going to ruin it for you!)

    6: The Collector
    A nice little indie horror that really does have you holding your breath!

    7: Pontypool
    Is it a zombie movie, infection movie paranormal movie? Who the hell can say? Great performance by Stephen McHattie though.

    8: Splinter
    Another great little movie that just really works.

    9: Trick ‘R Treat
    It’s been a while since there’s been an interesting “horror” anthology, so this was a refreshing breath of fresh air!

    10: The Eye (Original version)
    A great modern ghost tale that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck (if you have a hairy neck that is)
