I would like to introduce you to a hot synthpop band True Logik, which is based in Toronto, Canada. The band is composed of Ken Scott (music and vocals), Greg Scott (synth/keys), Slava Polyakov (drums), and Jacky Lee (guitar).
It is so refreshing to finally hear a band with memorable and danceable synthpop tunes. There are so many dreadful bands out there lately but not True Logik. They are the real deal. They remind me of the old days and how a real syntpop band should sound like. Bands like Evil’s Toy, Beborn Beaton, Informatik, Code 64…. and now True Logik.
I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do. If you like what you hear then you can check them out at Nocturne nightclub on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013. Doors open at 9:30 PM.
They also just came out with a new album called “Mechanical Minds”. It’s available for purchase on their website. My favorite tracks are Lost, Faith, and The Crash.
“There is nothing in my heart, that is how I love you
There is nothing in my heart, that is how I hate you
There is nothing in my eyes, that is how I see you
There is nothing in my soul, that is what I feel for you”
~ A Song 4 Hate & Devotion by Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio
Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio (ORE) is a neofolk/industrial/dark ambient music group from Stockholm, Sweden. The band is composed of its founding member and vocalist Tomas Pettersson, and Rose-Marie Larsen on backup vocals. The name Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio comes from Latin, which means Order of the Rose and the Balance.
Occultism and gnosticism largely make up the themes of the band. BDSM topics are also often featured. Their lyrics are intelligent and witty, combining death with life, beauty with wickedness, war with love, sex with depravity, joy with sorrow, creation with destruction, often using Christian and specifically Catholic symbols. Their music is dark and daunting yet inspiring and bright. A wide range of instruments are used and the lyrics are performed mostly by Pettersson in a form of a spoken word.
Definitely one of my favorite bands, so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
