Bishop and the Belcher

Bishop and the Belcher

For some reason the Bishop and the Belcher has always remained under the radar in terms having their name thrown out when suggesting a pub\restaurant to hit up. Perhaps they like it that way because the place is almost always packed!

If the name sounds familiar and may you remember it back in the days as one of the best spots on Queen and are wondering what the heck happened to them?

Well, they are now conveniently and comfortably located on Church and Hayden.

Besides great food, staff and decor, the Bishop and the Belcher has trivial pursuit cards on each table and a wide assortment of the classic board games available to bring to your table. Think, Connect Four, Battleship, Operation, etc…

Over the years I probably have had most of their items on the menu. I’m also very found of their Theme Nights, such as Wings Day on Wednesdays (they have amazing wings) or Maharaji Night on Fridays. Last Friday though both my friend and I felt like some Mexican food, so we ordered their Chicken Burrito – yummy!

Have I also mentioned how much I love their Martini Special Fridays? They are only $5.00 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. After 6:00 they still have one feature martini for $5.00 for the rest of the night. Isn’t that a great way to finish off the work week?

Both my friend and I were sipping on the Booty Call martini, which was sweet, light, and refreshing.

The verdict – we’ll be back for more Booty Call next Friday. Cheers!

  1. Mmmmmm…

Their 3lb of wings on Wednesday for $8.95 is probably the best wing deal in the city (and like you said they have awesome huge wings too).

The ultimate food platter is their signature Big Belch. 2lbs of wings, loaded potato skins, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, fries, onion rings and all the required condiments.

    Getting hungry now…….
